Bugsy is blogging, Again - The return of my personal blog

Bugsy Rocker first started back in 2001. I bought the domain name bugsyrocker.com in 2002. Since then it has seen at least three major redesigns (check out the web archive bugsyrocker.com, though some of it is embarrassing).

Throughout college I had a pretty extensive blog of my personal thoughts and happenings in life. After that my blogging was all about the adventures I had on my 50-state tour. And in the last year all of my blogging has been about the Upper Peninsula.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a personal blog and it’s time to bring it back. Quite often I have thoughts about my profession or educational background (advertising, sociology, web development, photographer, etc). Other times I find myself with opinions about hockey, snowboarding, travel, and more.

With all of my projects and the growing number of people following whatever it is I do, it just made sense to give everyone a way to follow what I’m up to, what’s going on behind my projects and in my head or what I’m going to be up to next. If nothing else it’s a bit of therapy for me to get my thoughts out there.

So it begins. I hope you enjoy.

  1. Me and my brother share the same birthday (I am one year younger)

  2. My fastest Rubik’s Cube time is 66 seconds, and I keep it on my resume

  3. I received 8 stitches in my right eye brow when I was 3 or 4

  4. I didn’t have my first drink of alcohol until 5 months after turning 21

  5. I’ve had a helicopter tour of Michigan State

  6. I attended the largest outdoor hockey game in history

  7. My great aunt’s cousin is married to Wayne Gretzky (hey, it could have been any NHL player, but it happens to be The Great One)

  8. I am a direct descendant of the Mayflower

  9. I was photography editor for the Red Cedar Log (the largest yearbook in the nation)

  10. Monopoly is my favorite board game

  11. My favorite star is Betelgeuse

  12. I’ve never been in a fist fight

  13. My favorite number is 3

  14. I absolutely despise electric can openers

  15. I don’t know how to swim (very embarrassing, but that’s how it goes)

  16. I’ve seen Michael Jordan play basketball

  17. I’ve seen Tiger Woods play golf

  18. I’ve seen Wayne Gretzky coach hockey

  19. I’ve been to Fenway, Yankee Stadium, and Wrigley Field

  20. Two of my greatest experiences are seeing Stonehenge at sunrise, and seeing Aialik Glacier in Alaska

  21. I painted myself blue when I was 1 year old

  22. I like bacon to be nice and crispy so it breaks like a chip

  23. My first time eating cotton candy was when I was 24 years old

  24. I truly miss ice breakers on the first day of class in college

  25. Rebbecca Nurse was the first witch put to death in the Salem Witch Trials. She is my 8th or 9th great grandmother. I can get you proof.
